"What Is In the Book?"


Someone is likely asking, "What is in this book?" I'm glad you asked. The book breaks down into three parts. The first is a series of 31 Confessions of Sin. One of my sons suggested the number so that a reader could use one each day in their times of personal prayer and Bible reading. And yet, a Minister could use one a week if they chose, and so cover 31 weeks.

The next section are prayers for the church of God and the world. Once more, there are 31 so that they could be used, once a day, or a pastor could lead his congregation with one each week. These prayers move our attention away from just me, myself and I to others and their circumstances. And the final section is simply a collection of specific prayers for specific situations.

Remember, each of these prayers is either shaped by a passage of Scripture, or guided by Scripture. That's why the Scripture index in the back of the volume fills about three pages of references. This is meant to be a resource a person can return to again and again.
